The confession of a condemned man to death

The intriguing debut novella by Daniel Artovsky is a hot coal. The hero of the novel is Jean the Parisian, a man who committed a terrible deed in the past, and will commit a terrible deed in the future. Between a sigh and a shot he leads his readers through the tangle of his thoughts and confesses his actions. They just seem contradictory and unacceptable to us. For Jean this is the only possible reality. This is the confession of a criminal who is not able to hide anything, a consciousness that is not able to escape from itself, but while justifying itself.
