about us
על ההוצאה
Nine Souls was founded in 2015 and is currently the largest independent book publisher in Israel. We publish about thirty literary titles each year, half of them translated and half in Hebrew.
Our enterprise is a journey of discovery and passion. We strive to find literary diamonds on every continent, in every dialect and style. These diamonds are published by Nine Souls with advanced design and masterful translations, with the aim of expanding and enriching the local cultural scene.
In the heart of Nine Souls, a particularly warm place is reserved for contemporary Latin American literature, German literature between the world wars, French literature from the Belle Epoque period, special Anglo-Saxon literature, and yes, European classics from the 20th century. At the same time, we are developing a wide and high-quality catalog dedicated to contemporary Hebrew literature. So far we have published close to two hundred books.
Four years ago, Nine Souls opened a house in Tel Aviv, where people, books, events and wines create an alternative cultural and happy atmosphere.
